Yet another cross-over album from Ma which seems to have a negative effect on his many guest musicians. Will Ma ever make a classical CD again?

« Yo Yo Ma is boring! »

This Yo Yo Ma album is awful and a bad idea. He can play cello and we all know that. So just stick to the basics and play cello! It's way too long. He needs to make his songs short and interesting. How much can he do with a cello anyway? He could play cello in a regular band with a singer. Piano, violin and cello is a good combination. It's less boring.Cello for Relaxation

« Peace, Joy, and Warmth. »

Bringing a very diverse group of musicians ranging from Jazz to Spanish Bagpipes, from classical to Celtic, Yoyo Ma has put together a "Holiday" presentatiuon that serves well almost every holiday.

Each artist brought a favorite song, and some good friends to bring their own concept of Joy and Peace together with the talent and leadership of Yoyo to achieve a really great synthesis.

The video in the deluxe edition is not to be missed. Here you'll see the artists and Yoyo putting together this work. As David Brubek, and his son work out a triumph, and as a very active Matalie McMaster whirls into a celtic amalgam, each artist adds their experience and joy.

Absolutely excellent.

« Christmasy but could be played all year »

I loved the music, although I was a little surprised that it was a Christmas album. Perhaps I should have read the product information more closely. Am very pleased nonetheless.
